LAS VEGAS – August 21, 2025 – Nom Wah, New York City’s first and oldest dim sum restaurant, is bringing its rich legacy and celebrated Cantonese flavors to the west coast this fall, marking a major milestone in the brand’s 105-year journey. Revered for its authentic, Cantonese-style dim sum, big flavors, and signature dumplings, the century-old Nom Wah will open its doors at JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa and Rampart Casino At The Resort At Summerlin Saturday, September 13, 2025. Originating centuries ago in China, dim sum – meaning “a little bit of heart” – was initially conceived as a light snack to accompany tea. Today, it has evolved into a celebrated, communal dining tradition that is both intricate and comforting. More than just food, Nom Wah aims to embody the spirit of community, where families and friends gather around shared tables to enjoy delicious dishes, conversations, and connection.

Nom Wah showcases modern, forward-thinking riffs on Cantonese American cuisine, as well as the classic family recipes that have helped establish the brand as one of New York’s preeminent restaurants. With fresh ingredients and distinct, bold flavors, the Nom Wah menu has been crafted with care and precision, whether it’s delicate dumplings, fluffy buns, savory rolls, or dim sum, including Stuffed Scallion Pancakes; Crispy Vegetable Spring Rolls; and Turnip Cakes with Taro Crust.
A perfect fusion of flavor, tradition, and comfort, dumplings are tender pockets of dough, typically filled with savory meats, fresh vegetables, or sweet delights. Building upon the classic dishes Nom Wah has built its name on, dumpling offerings include Pork Soup Dumplings, Chicken Soup Dumplings, Shrimp Dumplings, Shrimp Siu Mai Dumplings, Chicken and Cabbage Dumplings, and Edamame Dumplings.
Additional specials include classic Egg Fried Rice, Wonton Noodle Soup, Lo Mein Noodles, Crispy Chicken Buns, Peking Duck Sandwich, and Sweet Chili Tofu Buns.

Founded in 1920, Nom Wah is one of New York City’s oldest and most iconic dim sum institutions. Originally opened as a modest bakery on Doyers Street in Chinatown, the restaurant has served generations of diners with its signature handmade dumplings and Cantonese comfort dishes.
